Our People

Floradale Mennonite Church is a congregation with a vision to love God and to love others (Matt. 22:37-40). We welcome anyone who desires to worship God to join us.

We believe: in the importance of a church built on the foundation of Jesus Christ; that community is essential for faithful living; and that love and peace are at the centre of what it means to be Christian.

Floradale is a congregation of more than 200 members. We are inter-generational with a mix of people across the ages.

Some of us live in the village of Floradale, but more of us live in the nearby town of Elmira. Our proximity to the cities of Kitchener and Waterloo means that our rural mentality is mixed with a bit of an urban flavour. Our people come from diverse backgrounds from those who were raised in the Old Order Mennonite church to a Catholic from the Congo.

Floradale Mennonite Church is part of Mennonite Church Eastern Canada and Mennonite Church Canada.
