We welcome anyone who desires to worship God to join us.
We believe: in the importance of a church built on the foundation of Jesus Christ; that community is essential for faithful living; and that love and peace are at the centre of what it means to be Christian.

What to Expect When You Attend Floradale Mennonite Church?
Attending church for the first time, or a new church, even if you have attended before, can feel intimidating. Here’s what to expect, and what will not happen, when you visit Floradale church.
You do not have to be a Mennonite, a Christian, or profess any religious affiliation whatsoever to attend church. You do not have to believe in God to attend. You may have more questions than answers about issues relating to faith.
When you arrive for a church service, you will be greeted by someone at the door. You can seat yourself in the auditorium wherever you want. We spend part of each worship service singing together, led by a music leader, engaging in prayer, also spoken by a leader, and listening to a
sermon based on a passage of scripture from the bible. Songs will be projected onto the screen, or read in the hymnal. You are welcome, but not expected to join in the singing. Sometimes we stand up to sing, and sometimes we remain seated. We have a brief children’s time up front, for those children who wish to participate. We have a number of young families with children who attend the church. During the school year, children are also dismissed before the sermon time, for Junior Church, led by volunteers with a vulnerable sector police check.
The service typically lasts about an hour.
You do not have to dress up to attend church. You are welcome to come as you are, dressing as you would for any public event.
You will not be put on the spot to answer a question. You may be invited to reflect privately on a question for consideration.
You are not expected to give money. In fact, we do not formally collect an offering for money in the service, except for a few times a year, to model generosity for our children.
We have communion several times during the year, (typically early October, and Good Friday, before Easter), but again, there is no pressure to join in that part of the service. During communion, people come to the front to receive a small piece of bread, and a small glass of grape juice, in memory of the death of Jesus. Again, you are welcome to remain in your seat.
Most Sundays we have coffee in the large entrance area of the church, following the service, where we talk about a variety of interests. You are most welcome to join us!
We hope you feel both welcomed and safe when you join us!
